We develop therapeutic proteins & peptides by recombinant & chemical synthesis processes. These include hGH, enterokinase, hG-CSF, teriparatide and nesiritide which have been developed using recombinant DNA (rDNA) technology and eptifibatide & bivalirudin by chemical synthesis. The eptifibatide is a cyclic heptapeptide that reversibly inhibits platelet aggregation by binding to a GP-IIb/IIIa receptor site on platelets. It is produced by a method based on solid phase peptide synthesis technology. The crude material thus produced is purified by RP-HPLC and characterized by polarimetry, amino acid analysis, NMR, MALDI-TOF, LC-MS, ion chromatography and platelet aggregation assay for biological activity.
