Profile: Sphere Fluidics Limited is focusing on providing both technology development & discovery services for the life sciences market, particularly in the areas of proteomics, cell biology and drug development. We develop patented, novel microfluidics systems, surface chemistry and detection interfaces for automated, picodroplet analysis. Our projects include synthesis & testing of specific chemical libraries for drug discovery, analysis of low volumes of biofluids for presence of low concentration biomarkers or metabolised drugs, selection of a microbial strain that secretes a highly-active enzyme, isolation of a rapidly-growing algal strain that produces a product, approaches that accelerate drug development by enabling clinical sample pooling and subsequent rapid purification & analysis, and development of specialized microfluidics chips.
