QGelT matrix can be engineered with biological and biochemical entities such as adhesion ligands, protease sensitive sites, and/or soluble growth factors in order to include capabilities of native tissues. QGelT degradation is exclusively mediated by the cells themselves via protease secretion and activation according to how they migrate. There is no bulk hydrolysis process taking place.
