Profile: Primate Products, Inc. offers products and services that are designed specifically for nonhuman primates. We specialize in providing nonhuman primate biological materials. These materials include serum, plasma, and tissue samples from cynomolgus macaques & rhesus macaques. Our bio-containment module is designed as a means of providing isolation capabilities at the room level using the facility HVAC system to maintain negative air pressure. A stainless steel shell and 3/8" acrylic door form a barrier around the animal cage, separating the animal environment from the room environment. The bio-containment module incorporates many of the design features used in the apartment module to promote the psychological well-being of the animals. Each module has two exhaust vents (one per compartment) in the back. The compartments operate independently to reduce the possibility of cross contamination between compartments. The HVAC system connects to the unit via a 2" exhaust ducts in the rear to maintain negative pressure inside each cage compartment.
