Profile: Natural Plant Protection develops carpovirusine 2000®. Carpovirusine 2000® is a biological insecticide against apple and pear codling moth with the same effect as a traditional larvicide. It combines the efficacy of an insecticide with high production quality and environmental protection. It shows a direct larvicide action on all codling moth generations & also durable action causing mortality of over-wintering larvae & transmission of virus to following generations. The insecticidal effect is expressed in the codling moth surviving descendants. In this way, long-term control of pest populations in treated orchards is achieved. It can be used up to 3 days before harvest, and leaves no residue in the fruit. It should be used alternatively with chemicals on g1, g2 or g3 larvae. A least one treatment per generation should be made.
