Profile: Modular Genetics designs and develops engineered microorganisms that synthesize chemicals using renewable raw materials, like sugar. Our CombiGenixTM automated gene engineering system can synthesize, modify, and recombine genes to create novel recombinant DNA molecules. We also develop improved therapeutics through rational design, rapid prototyping, and multiple-function testing. We use rational design to focus on the generation of drug-like molecules and develop high throughput screens for desired functions.
