Profile: Microbion BioSciences Corporation is an early-stage pharmaceutical company. We develop a class of compounds known as bismuth-thiols which have very strong anti-infective/anti-biofilm properties that are highly synergistic with multiple classes of conventional antibiotics, and are extremely effective against a very broad spectrum of both drug-sensitive as well as drug-resistant bacteria. We also develop products for topical anti-infective treatment of burns and other acute wounds such as severe, open, and traumatic military wounds.
