Our product serdolect® is reducing the symptoms of schizophrenia by inhibiting the actions of mainly two of the important neurotransmitters, dopamine and serotonin, in different areas of the brain. The dopamine activity is markedly inhibited in certain brain regions where overactivity is causing psychotic symptoms. A weaker dopamine inhibition in other brain areas, as well as inhibition of serotonin activity, decrease the risk for the disabling extrapyramidal side effects caused by the classical antipsychotic compounds. Our product circadin® is sustained-release melatonin & acts by increasing the levels of melatonin in the brain. It provides natural sleep for patients with insomnia.
