Plant tissue culture is a technology used for plant propagation to develop disease free plant tissues under sterile conditions in artificial plant growth medium. Here the superior plant is identified & taken as the mother plant which acts as the donor of plant tissues to start the tissue culture process. A growing point or meristem is removed from the mother plant & placed into culturing flask containing appropriate nutrient media under growth promoting & sterile conditions. The plantlets produced with this process have the same characteristics as the mother plant. We can also produce any plant variety on contract propagation.
