Profile: Farmacule BioIndustries Pty Ltd is an agricultural biotechnology company. We develop transgenic sugarcane which expresses high levels of cellulase enzymes under activation control, leading to glucose production and thence ethanol from cellulose. We provide plants with in-planta virus and nematode resistance mechanisms that result in enhanced crop production. We also engaged in the development of transgenic plants as factories for the production of high value proteins and other important medical & industrial compounds.
