Profile: CDI Laboratories, Inc. offers microarray-powered monoclonal antibodies (MAbs] and MAb-related services. HuProt™ Human Proteome Microarray contains the worlds largest number of unique, individually-purified human proteins. The comprehensive content of the microarray allows thousands of interactions to be profiled in high-throughput. This microarray will help to better manage the pipeline of therapeutic antibodies, by helping to eliminate those that exhibit cross reactivity earlier in the development process, thus freeing up resources to concentrate on those antibodies that are shown to be specific thus reducing the possibility of off-target effects. In fact, the FDA has recommended that newer technologies be employed as they become available to reduce the very serious possibility of off-target effects.
